TFT Announces set four and its based on the fantasy genre

Riot Games has just announced that Team Fight Tactics’ set four will be called Fates and focus on the fantasy genre.

Riot Games posted this to their TFT twitter on the 20th of August:

"We're super excited to introduce TFT's next set - Teamfight Tactics: Fates! Here's a little taste of what's to come:

Dragons

Magic

Spirits

Storms

The adventure begins in Patch 10.19!"

This new set is a stark contrast to the previous set three which was entirely Sci-Fi based. We believe the new set will include skins like Veigar Greybeard and the entire Dungeons and Dragons skinline will be added. Such as Ryze White Beard, Twitch Lightfoot and Taric Luminshield who are all dressed up as iconic classes from the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop game.

However, there is one aspect of this tweet that we and some other fans are cautious about. The tweet talks about dragons which early players of TFT had collectively remembered the infamous tank Shyvana which plagued set one as there was no optimal strategy against it. The strategy focused on giving Shyvana a phantom dancer and thornmail with any other tank item such as warmogs. unfortunately for a lot of high level players this strategy made the set extremely one dimensional.

Will we be seeing the return of Tank Shyvana? We can only imagine that Set four which boasts dragons will most likely feature the infamous champion again. Yet, we hope that RIOT has learned their lesson from the first time.
